After being away from the Cousin Billy Joel project for several years, the famous Cousin Billy and I got together this afternoon and made magic. It was as though no time had passed since our last collaboration. Sure, we're using better drums, keyboards and recording technology, but the feeling and artistic sensibility is still there. The beer helped, too.
There were a couple of different Billy Joel songs that we had in mind to "treat" with todays session, but after it became apparent to us that The Longest Time can really sound like a filthy, dirty stalker song, it became the obvious choice.
